Heaven

During 1968 and 1969 Heaven travelled to the cellar recording studio of Southern Music in Denmark Street, London, and recorded the first album.
Here are those tracks, but sadly the album was never released. The sound quality is not good.

The Checkpoint label was the name chosen by Tony Porter, and was the same name as the Cafe his family owned and ran in Belle Vue Terrace, Southsea.
The Paramounts, Dave Loney lead guitar, Tony Ransley drums, Johnny Randall bass, and Trev Williamson on rhythm guitar and Johnny Watts (Rocco).
Gary & Lee came from Gosport and Johnny Watts from Paulsgrove

Four instrumental tracks recorded at the Collingwood Theatre in 1961.
We all played Burns Sonic guitars & bass with a Selmer Truvoice amplifier and a Watkins Copycat echo box.

Recording made in one take at the studio which used`to be above Nevada in London Road, the lineup was of course, Pete Jackson,bass, Dave Hart, guitar and Keith Hawtin, drums.

Recorded at R.G.Jones studios at Morden in about 62 or 63.
Chris Ryder, vocals, Dave Hart, lead guitar, Colin Quaintance, rhythm guitar, Dave Field, bass and Pete StClair, drums,
although usually Colin and Dave shared the guitar breaks between us. Colin took the lead vocal on Yakity Yak, and Back In The USA.

Pete tried his hand at singing in the early 1980s! with him in the KM band, Jim Berry, Arnold Gutbucket, Humphrey Camelfoot, Dave Houghton, and in the chorus, Pete Mitchell, Steve Campion, Ian Foster, Dave Martin, Ricky Martin and Sharon Flannery, and engineered by Dave Hardcastle at Toucan Studios on Hayling Island.
