The Lord Maurice Group was technically a Southampton band so maybe not "appropriate" but myself, Chris West and Nigel Baker were from Portsmouth (as the band needed at little class) and Mick Hackett (great organist) was from Gosport.
We were "managed" by the notorious Len Canham from Avenue Artists (Dave Dee's mob and the Mojo's)
