Alf Nicholson

The man that used to play the accordion to people as they queued up to go to the pictures in the 50s, the used to say his name was 'Bunky doodle I do'.
His real name was Alf Nicholson. He played out side the Savoy cinema and the old Coliseum/Empire theatre in Edinburgh Road.
Bunky used to play his accordian upside down! Looking at the Photo Bunky can be seen with his accordian keyboard on his left. Hence the accordian is indeed upside down.
