These photos are of a group called "The Magpies Costume Concert Party." They did concerts around Portsmouth during WWI. They raised a lot of money for charities and were often mentioned in the Portsmouth Evening News. The photos were taken by a Southsea photographer Moore and the photo in the different clothes is taken by Thomas Humphreys, probably all during WWI.
They were;-
Edward Hare Fry. 1883-1937 Baritone.
He married Ruby Alice Mary Gooderham. 1887-1973. Soprano.
Then there is Hilda Florence Shervell 1884-1961. Director and Soubrette.
She married John Edward Eddleston known as Jack. 1888-1958. Comedian.
Olive Mary Shervell 1882-1963. Contralto. Never married.
Ellen Jessie Lawrence known as Nellie. Niece to Hilda and Olive. 1894-1967. Accompanist.
Married to George Berry not in concert party.
