There's an old rude saying, that drummers are people who play with musicians.
To be honest, we'd be lost without them, so here is our tribute to them all.

Roger Mahoney, dated 1948. His first resident gig every Fri, Sat and Sunday night at the Fratton Trades Hall with The Mrs True Duo.
piano & drums.(Three nights.15/- !!) No pic of Mrs True I'm afraid. She was a Winnifred Attwell style player.
Roger went on the play in the Benny Freedman Band at the Savoy Ballroom

Roy's Drum Pad, owned by legendary drummer Roy Huggett was in Elm Grove, close to the traffic lights.
The tall man in the photo is Roy and the gent with dark hair is drummer Roger Mahoney.
